Hannah Slider
Hannah received her J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center in 2023 where she was a dean’s list recipient almost every semester. Although newly licensed, Hannah’s passion for family law was something she came into law school with. After her first year of law school, she spent her summer working for the non-profit Aid for Victims of Domestic Violence (AVDA) representing and advocating for victims of domestic violence. This confirmed Hannah’s passion for family law and desire to help people during the vulnerable chapter of life that is custody and marital issues.
During the remaining years at the University of Houston Law Center, Hannah worked as a research assistant to the Family Law professor, interned at a law firm, clerked for Judge Heppard in the 387th Judicial District Court, clerked for Judge Peake in the 257th Judicial District Court, and received her basic mediation certification and advanced family law mediation certification. It was important to Hannah that while receiving her education, every avenue available to view and study the practice area of Family Law was explored.
Since graduation, Hannah has worked exclusively in the practice area of Family Law here at Skillern Firm. Her dedication, creativity, and ability to view complex issues from multiple angles is an invaluable asset to this firm.
